COMOX VALLEY RECREATION COMMISSION
Tuesday, January 23, 2024
Civic Room, located at 770 Harmston Avenue, Courtenay, BC commencing at 2:15 pm.

The chair of the committee will preside over the meeting according to the CVRD procedure bylaw. This meeting may include participation by members of the committee via electronic communication.

In the event of an emergency the public gathering place is the parking lot outside the Civic Room.

Report dated December 18, 2023 regarding not proceeding with the Regional Recreation Access Membership Program for receipt. [Item]

Recommendation:
 
THAT the Comox Valley Regional District not proceed any further exploration of a Regional Recreation Access Membership Program;

AND FURTHER THAT staff continue to focus regional efforts on further development of the Leisure for Everyone Accessibility Program to increase financial access and reduce barriers to recreation.

Report dated January 16, 2024 regarding an application to the BC Alliance of Healthy Living for the Active Communities Grant for the construction of an artificial turf field for receipt. [Item]
