Civic Room of the Comox Valley Regional District offices located at 770 Harmston Avenue, Courtenay, BC commencing at 9:30 am.

In the event of an emergency the public gathering place is the parking lot outside the Civic Room.

APPOINTMENT OF THE PANEL CHAIR:
The Parcel Tax Roll Review Panel shall appoint a chair for the February 21, 2024 meeting.

1) OVERVIEW OF THE PARCEL TAX ROLL REVIEW PROCESS
 
Overview of the 2023 Parcel Tax Process for receipt.
 
2) 2024 PARCEL TAX ROLL
 
Recommendation:
 
THAT the 2024 parcel tax roll for the Graham Lake Local Water Service area be received:
 
3) CORRECTION OF THE ROLL BY THE COLLECTOR, IF REQUIRED
 
The Chief Financial Officer will advise of any corrections or updates to the parcel tax roll.
 
4) LETTERS OF COMPLAINT IF RECEIVED AT LEAST 48 HOURS PRIOR TO THE SITTING OF THE ROLL REVIEW PANEL
 
Written complaints that were received at least 48 hours before the panel meeting are posted here for consideration by the panel. A person may make a complaint to the panel on one or more of the following grounds:

• error or omission of the name or address on the roll
• error or omission respecting the inclusion of parcel
• error or omission respecting the taxable area or taxable frontage of a parcel
• an exemption has been improperly allowed or disallowed.
 
The panel is to review the written requests and may direct the correction of the parcel tax roll respecting any matter referred above.
 
5) AUTHENTICATION OF THE PARCEL TAX ROLL
 
Recommendation:
 
THAT the 2024 parcel tax roll for the Graham Lake Local Water Service area be declared authenticated pursuant to section 206 of the Community Charter.
