Recommendation: |
|
THAT staff be directed to complete an application to BC Hydro for funding an integrated feasibility study for the Comox Valley Water Pollution Control Centre that includes lighting and control upgrades and replacement of the natural gas heating system;
AND FURTHER THAT the other energy conservation measures as identified within the integrated energy audit are progressed per the proposed path forward as detailed within Table No. 1 of the staff report dated June 5, 2024. |

Recommedation: |

THAT Comox Valley Regional District staff be directed to engage a consultant to:
- Identify and assess potential public sani-dump sites;
- Support staff development and delivery of competitive process for incentivizing, identifying and assessing potential private sani-dump sites; and
- Support staff and Sewage Commission in selection of an optimal site for implementation by summer of 2025.

THAT the commission adjourn to an in-camera session pursuant to the following sub-sections of section 90 of the Community Charter:
90(1)(e) The acquisition, disposition or expropriation of land or improvements, if the committee/board considers that disclosure might reasonably be expected to harm the interests of the municipality; and
90(1)(k) Negotiations and related discussions respecting the proposed provision of a regional district service that are at their preliminary stages and that, in the view of the committee/board, could reasonably be expected to harm the interests of the regional district if they were held in public. |
