SELECTION OF CHAIR AND RECORDING SECRETARY
Glenn Loxam was selected as Chair for the Area A Advisory Planning Commission

Karen Fouracre was nominated as Recording Secretary for the Area A Advisory Planning Commission.
 
 
CALL TO ORDER AND RECOGNITION OF TRADITIONAL TERRITORIES
The Chair called the meeting to order and acknowledged that the meeting was being held on the unceded traditional territory of the K’ómoks First Nation.

REPORTS
DEVELOPMENT VARIANCE PERMIT APPLICATION DV 3A 21 – 471 LEET LANE (FANNY BAY HOLDINGS LTD.)
 
 
B. Chow, Planner II, provided an overview of the memorandum dated December 15, 2021 regarding Development Variance Permit Application DV 3A 21 – 471 Leet Lane (Fanny Bay Holdings Ltd.) to reduce the minimum highway frontage requirement for a proposed lot line adjustment. [Item
 
 
Gilfrid Campbell, applicant, attended the meeting via electronic means.
 
 
B. Trussler/J. Yetter: THAT the Area A Advisory Planning Commission support the Development Variance Permit DV 3A 21 application – 471 Leet Lane (Fanny Bay Holdings Ltd.) for the following reasons:

- 2 per cent road frontage is still enough;
- Access will remain through legal easement through Leet Lane, and this easement provide adequate access; and
- The proposal will help to protect the environment, as the proposed remainder lot will be entirely on one side of the watercourse.

STATUS UPDATE ON APC RECOMMENDATIONS
 
 
T. Trieu, Manager of Planning, provided an update regarding Electoral Area Services Committee and board decisions related to APC recommendations.
