Grieve Puntledge/Black Creek (Area C)   D. Arbour Baynes Sound-Denman/Hornby Islands (Area A)   B. Leigh Oyster Bay – Buttle Lake (Area D)   A. Hamir Lazo North (Area B) Staff: A. Baldwin Legislative Services Assistant   J. Nelson Chief Financial Officer   J. Martens Manager of Legislative Services   L. Dennis Legislative Services Assistant         ATTENDANCE Director Hamir was not in attendance when the meeting was called to order.     ELECTION OF THE PANEL CHAIR: L. Dennis, Manager of Legislative Services, called the meeting to order and opened the floor to nominations for the position of Chair of the Parcel Tax Roll Review Panel. At the close of nominations, Director Arbour was the only nomination and as such was declared chair by acclamation. Chair Arbour assumed the role of presiding member at 9:34 am.     RECOGNITION OF TRADITIONAL TERRITORIES The Chair acknowledged that the meeting was being held on the unceded traditional territory of the K’ómoks First Nation.     REPORTS: OVERVIEW OF THE PARCEL TAX ROLL REVIEW PROCESS     Jennifer Nelson, Chief Financial Officer and Parcel Tax Collector, provided an overview of the 2022 Parcel Tax Process. [Item]      Director Hamir entered the meeting at 9:35 am.     2022 PARCEL TAX ROLL     E. Grieve/B. Leigh: THAT the parcel tax roll for the following service areas be received: a) Baynes Sound, Electoral Areas B and C Parks and Greenways Service b) Black Creek/Oyster Bay Water Local Service Area - 771 c) Black Creek/Oyster Bay Water Local Service Area - 772 d) Comox Valley Water Local Service Area e) Courtenay Flats Drainage Service f) England Road Water Service Parcel Tax g) Greaves Crescent Water Service h) Jackson Drive Sewer Service i) King Coho Wastewater Service Parcel Tax j) Royston Water Service k) Sandwick Water Service l) Union Bay Water Service 208 Carried   CORRECTION OF THE ROLL BY THE COLLECTOR, IF REQUIRED     E. Grieve/B. Leigh: THAT the information provided by J. Nelson, Chief Financial Officer and Parcel Tax Collector, that there were no corrections of the roll required be received.   Carried   LETTERS OF COMPLAINT IF RECEIVED AT LEAST 48 HOURS PRIOR TO THE SITTING OF THE ROLL REVIEW PANEL     E. Grieve/B. Leigh: THAT the information provided by J. Nelson, Chief Financial Officer and Parcel Tax Collector, that there were no written complaints submitted be received.   Carried   AUTHENTICATION OF THE PARCEL TAX ROLL     A. Hamir/B. Leigh: THAT the 2022 parcel tax roll for: a) Baynes Sound, Electoral Areas B and C Parks and Greenways Service b) Black Creek/Oyster Bay Water Local Service Area - 771 c) Black Creek/Oyster Bay Water Local Service Area - 772 d) Comox Valley Water Local Service Area e) Courtenay Flats Drainage Service f) England Road Water Service Parcel Tax g) Greaves Crescent Water Service h) Jackson Drive Sewer Service i) King Coho Wastewater Service Parcel Tax j) Royston Water Service k) Sandwick Water Service l) Union Bay Water Service be declared authenticated pursuant to section 206 of the Community Charter. 208 Carried   TERMINATION: E.
