CALL TO ORDER AND RECOGNITION OF TRADITIONAL TERRITORIES
Robin Poirier assumed the role of presiding member in the absence of the Chair and acknowledged that the meeting was being held on the unceded traditional territory of the K’ómoks First Nation.

REPORTS
PROPOSED TELECOMMUNICATIONS TOWER – 1891 GUTHRIE ROAD CYPRESS LAND SERVICES/FREEDOM MOBILE INC.
 
 
B. Chow, Planner II, provided an overview of the memorandum dated April 4, 2022 regarding the proposed construction of a 31.0 metre tall telecommunications tower on the property located at 1891 Guthrie Road, zoned Rural ALR. [Item
 
 
Chair McClintock joined the meeting.
 
 
B. Thompson/D. Page: THAT the Agricultural Advisory Planning Commission support the proposed telecommunications tower – 1891 Guthrie Road (Cypress Land Services/Freedom Mobile Inc) as proposed in the memorandum dated April 4, 2022 with the following recommendation:
• that the siting of the tower in the middle of the field be reviewed as to the impact on agricultural use;
• that consideration be given to move the tower to the south boundary so that the site is less impacted for
farming by road building.
