With the unanimous consent of the committee, R. Poirier assumed the role of presiding member as Chair McClintock was not in attendance when the meeting was called to order.
 
 
CALL TO ORDER AND RECOGNITION OF TRADITIONAL TERRITORIES
The Acting-Chair called the meeting to order and acknowledged that the meeting was being held on the unceded traditional territory of the K’ómoks First Nation.
 
 
Chair McClintock joined the meeting.

REPORTS
FARMLAND PROTECTION DEVELOPMENT PERMIT (DP 26C 22) - 1525 SEAVIEW ROAD (HARDING)
 
 
B. Chow, Planner II, provided an overview of the memorandum dated August 31, 2022 regarding a Farmland Protection Development Permit DP 26C 22 - 1525 Seaview Road (Harding) to allow for the construction of a single detached dwelling and a small accessory buildings within 30 metres of an agricultural property. [Item
 
 
Bob Harding, applicant was in attendance.
 
 
G. McClintock/R. Poirier: THAT the Agricultural Advisory Planning Commission support the Farmland Protection Development Permit DP 26C 22 - 1525 Seaview Road (Harding) as proposed in the memorandum dated August 31, 2022 for the following reasons:

- it meets the criteria for agriculture;
- the proposed development does not seem to have an impact on agriculture;
- the proposal shows sufficient vegetation and consideration of house design;
- there are no concerns from the adjacent farmer.
