| AGRICULTURAL LAND RESERVE NON-ADHERING RESIDENTIAL USE - 6049 HEADQUARTERS ROAD (MILLER/THOMAS/NORWELL) | ||||||
| C. Marsh, Planner, provided an overview of the letter dated June 9, 2023 regarding an application for an Agricultural Land Reserve Non-Adhering Residential Use (ALR 1C23) - 6049 Headquarters Road (Miller/Thomas/Norwell) to increase the maximimum permitted floor area by 31 square metres for a second residence on the property. | THAT the Agricultural Advisory Planning Commission support forwarding the Agricultural Land Reserve Non-Adhering Residential Use (ALR 1C23) - 6049 Headquarters Road (Miller/Thomas/Norwell) application to the Agricultural Land Commission as proposed in the letter dated June 9, 2023 for the following reasons:
- There is no local help available and getting help from outside the area requires accommodation; - the addition is small; - the proponents had sited the building to minimize loss of land; - the proposal would help the new generation of farmers to get going; and - it would bring an unused farm back into production. | ||||||
