R. Brown/J. Ainsworth: THAT the Area A Advisory Planning Commission support the Development Variance Permit application DV 4A 24 - 6832 Island Highway South (Hoenmans) as presented in the report dated August 27, 2024 for the following reasons:

- it is a minor variance for the corner of the house only;
- Since the foundation is already in place, there would be more disruption if the permit was denied;
- There are no other concerns - the neighbours support the application and it fits in with the character of the neighbourhood;
- Cost to owner - variance requirement was overlooked by staff; and
- The construction of the house is an improvement to the neighbourhood.
